I have been so frustrated with the normal hummingbird feeders that I have purchased over the years. Not only are they hard to clean, I discovered they form mold in the bottles and on the plastic petals. I can't tell you how many I have been forced to throw away because they no longer look healthy.

I purchased my first Dr. JB feeder on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008. It arrived at my home on Saturday Aug. 16. I was so excited that I followed the directions and put it out immediately. My hummingbirds gravitated to it right away. They completely ignored the other feeders (2) that were already hanging in the yard. I haven't, of course, had to clean it, but it is plain to see cleaning will be a breeze.

I like this feeder so well that I plan to order 2 more for myself and I plan to order 2 others to give to my sister. I would recommend the Dr. JB feeder to anyone who loves hummingbirds and enjoys feeding them. -- Bonnie D., Alabama

The feeder hangs at our cabin on Lake Superior. Each night we are visited by a bear that tears down our Droll bird feeders and devours the feed. He (or she!) always has ignored the Dr. JB feeder. Last night, he found no Droll feeders outside and did tear down the Dr. JB feeder. It DID NOT BREAK; he did not destroy it. Now at night, we shall bring the Dr JB feeder inside also. I ordered one of your feeders after reading about them in the Charlotte Observer. I immediately threw out the other one I had just bought, because it was leaking. I love my new feeder and will be ordering more for myself soon. These [feeders in a new order] are for my sister and brother. I had bragged about how good the feeder was, and how it did not leak, and they both wanted one too. Now I know what to get everyone on my birthday list for a gift!!! I gave one of your feeders to a friend, and she immediately ordered one for her dad. He'd never been able to attract hummers before, but she said within hours of hanging it outside he had his first visitor. All of my feeders have been in and out of the dishwasher for a year, and they still work perfectly with no leaks. You need to emphasize that the nice big hanging handle folds flat for filling----that's one of the features I love the most! "Since I started using the "CLEAN FEEDER" a few years ago my Hummingbird population has increase to the point that I use six feeders all the time. Last Year "2006" I made five hundred and seventy pints of sugar water. The Hummers would eat twelve to fifteen pints per day. The ease of cleaning and refilling these new feeders made the this task a pleasure. I am well on my way to another great year of Hummingbird activity. I followed the directions supplied with the Dr. JB's feeder to the letter, and a very interesting thing happened... The local birds (rubythroat) who have been frequenting all my feeders, without hesitation diverted to the new Dr. JB's feeder. Out of a total of nine feeders out, the Dr. JB's feeder, upon which I used the purple petals, the birds which are just now establishing territorial boundaries around my yard are overwhelmingly preferring the new feeder. A tip O' the ole hat to Dr. JB's hummingbird feeders. FINALLY!!!!!! A hummingbird feeder that virtually DOES NOT DRIP. I just don't like to see hummingbirds giving way to hornets, wasps, yellow jackets and bees. Take away their source and they're gone!!!!! I replaced my Hummzinger with Dr. JB's feeder, and the hummers came back. Thank you very much  --George M., Ontario, Canada

Hello, a couple of months ago I ordered your hummingbird feeder-I just wanted to let you what a success it's been. It is very easy to maintain. In all the years I have been feeding hummers I have never seen them sit still so often or for so long. The wrap around perch seems very conducive to taking a "time out". I ordered three of your feeders last week. To be perfectly honest, I suffered some buyer's remorse for a few days; they're not cheap, but hey, I'd already spent at least that much on other feeders (all of which were difficult to clean and fill and never failed to leak). The feeders arrived yesterday and now that I've seen the quality with which they're made I couldn't be happier. Cleaning and filling is a BREEZE and not one leak!!! Oh yeah....my hummers (currently about 8 of them) never missed a beat. Saw one at the new feeder within 5 minutes of hanging it!!!!
